Having a Job - Employment Strategy Workshops

Having a job with a proper wage is really important to people, and it can be difficult for people with learning disabilities to get a paid job.

Most people believe that this needs to change, that's why the North Wales Together Transformation Team is helping the 6 North Wales Councils and the Health Board to develop a plan setting out what needs to happen to help more people with learning disabilities to get a paid job.

The plan will look at

A video will be shared each day on the Council’s Facebook/Twitter pages that will include a familiar face discussing the particular theme of the day e.g. Connecting with others and the importance of the Five Ways to Wellbeing in general, as well as sharing information posters.

Looking after your feelings and body

For us to be healthy it's important that we look after our feelings as well as our body. Emotional well-being is equally as important as physical well-being.

On the bottom of this page you'll find an Easy Read PDF booklet written by Public Health Wales (NHS). The booklet was released back in April 2020, but the information and messages it contains remain useful to us all today.
