What is a hub?
The learning disability service have a number of community hubs across Gwynedd.
Community hub is the term we use to describe where individuals with learning disabilities access day opportunities, participate in social groups and events and learn new skills in a way that is open to the wider community.
Hubs are a key part of the service’s ethos, and are a new and innovative way of integrating services within the community and developing valuable relationships and links with individuals and organisations. We are also hopeful that local communities will use hubs to hold community events, and that our hubs become community assets for years to come.
What happens in our hubs?
Each hub is different, and therefore the opportunities available to individuals vary from one hub to another. Here’s a list of our hubs, and a brief description of some of the things that go on in each:
